Executry Administration

Coping with the death of a friend or loved one is a stressful and upsetting time. After the funeral takes place, the process of administering the estate of the deceased person begins. This often unfamiliar legal process is called an Executry (Probate).

You may be appointed as executor of the estate, and are suddenly faced with responsibilities you have never considered previously.

At McGregor MacLeod Solicitors we combine compassion with clear advice and support. We offer a wide range of Executry (Probate) services and we understand that, for many, this process is unfamiliar and support will be required. Whether or not there is a Will, we can assist you every step of the way; liaising with executors under the will (if there is a will), arranging the funeral, identifying assets, dealing with the court procedures, realising the assets and advising on distribution. Our main aim is to take some of the burden from you and offer support and guidance.

We can provide as little or as much assistance as you need, from initial advice and guidance, to dealing with the entire estate administration on your behalf.
